I have heard about charging for shots at house parties a little (it's not as common in my experience), and i think others would not really be enticed to buy in when there is a refillable beer cup or something. I'd just go with beer and kegs, mixed drinks if you want. I have never done it before so i could not give you more experienced advice. I am not sure how well flyers will work, but i guess we will see. Word-of-mouth works efficiently for parties, and if you charge that much for cups you know you are going to get freshmen paying since they are so desperate for alcohol. I woulid hold it one of the first weeks the freshmen come back, they are willing to pay crazy amounts for just a little bit of alcohol. Exploit them, and not in a sexual way mind you.
