(-126) (-1/2)(1/3)^2 (to the second)

(1/3)^2 = 1/9 (just square the top and bottom terms)
(-1/2)(1/9) = -1/18 (multiply the top and bottom terms)
(-126)(-1/18) = 126/18 = 7(negatives cancel, multiply the top and bottom terms)
