Ms. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh

The book is radically different from the Don Bluth animated feature(The Secret of Nimh). I'm not quite sure which I like better.
I feel a little short-changed reading the novel after seeing the colorful animation. The characters in the book seem a little more flat and as-a-matter-of-fact about many things that were a big deal in the animation.
The crow Jeremy is a character with the most noticeable change from book to animation. In the book, he is more inquisitive and knowledgeable than the goofy flop that is Jeremy in the film.
I like the background information provided in the book...it makes the cartoon so much more interesting that it already had been before.
Anyone that hasn't read the book or seen the film should do both. I've heard that you either really love the animation or you really love the book.
If you've read/watched it, what are your opinions?

It was pretty good. Racso and the Rats of Nimh wasn't as good though. I never read the 3rd one.

Justin or Jason was suposedly killed in the 1st book, in Racso he's alive and someone else had died even though Justin/Jason was the only one unaccounted for.
