"THE" bands.....

well if ppl haven't noticed... a couple of the bands getting popular now .... their names start with "THE"

THE white stripes
THE strokes
THE vines
THE hives
THE flaming lips

also...i was watching inkigayo...and there is a group called
THE jadu


i guess putting THE infront of a band name was there a long time ago.. but yea.. lala... i just noticed the new bands have that too....

a lot of bands from 60's- 70's had names that started with "the."

And all those bands that you listed were heavily influenced by music from that time, so I think that's why they chose to make their names that way.

i think theyre real good and their songs actually have a meaning...not like most of todays songs wich are mostly about love or how life sucks or big cars...
