i dunno, personally, i am very skeptical of internet relationships because of the very reason that you don't really know the person on the other side. Yes, perhaps the other person sounds convincing and is really nice etc. but having a close relation with someone that might or might not be telling the truth about him/herself.
Of course, if they live an ocean away, its not going to be very likely that you're ever going to meet this person, but hey, again thats why I avoid these types of relationships.
On another note, if they happen to be lying about themselves, that destroys the entire idea of a relationship IMO. That entire idea is that one can tell the truth about themselves without being afraid of persecution by their partner, a relationship based on trust. The "justification" behind telling lies is that one does not want another to know something about him/her. In a relationship, such a fear should not exist.
and plus if the person that's lying is liek 40 something, that makes him/her a pedo probably and you shouldn't really be having a relationship with him/her at all =)
mm..That really did not make sense to me at all even though i wrote it. I think i will go log off now. :sad: Disregard all that because its probably a bunch of bs hahahaha
