Debate in Different Countries

Anyone ever hear about policy debate being part of another country besides the US? I'm sure there is, but i'm just curious. It'd be sweet to see some of these debates in different languages.

haha, sweet. Like the UN courts where they all have ear pieces that translate what everyone says. Haha, that'd be interesting to watch. I wanna see some swedish spreading, though german would be nice as well heh.

ok well spreading only happens in policy debate, if you have that in germany.
Because of the length of the speaches, debaters try to take advantage of the time to pack in as many arguments as possible, sort of like "spreading" the arguments down the flow sheet. IN order to pack in as many arguments as possible, they have to speak fast. REALLY fast. Have you ever seen an auctioner? Well, imagine that except like 5 times faster.

oh you can't leave out the double breaths

Oh, ok. Then I've never heard it. But sometimes I speak very fast to, but I guess it's not as fast as that. Auctioners are normal.

Hehe...I've heard fast speaking people but I guess it was never too fast for me. I only have problems with people speaking like they're drunken or having a very hard dialect AND speaking like they're drunken...
