im in school in my s.s. class .. i hate history .. i think they should turn our history classes into like .. current events classes where we spend the class learning about whats going on in the world TODAY .. i think itd be more useful .. u kno, than learning about stuff that is over and done with and cant be changed .. i mean .. learning about presidents is ok but i would just be way more interested in whats going on now than i am in learning about the 1930's lol what u guys think

i think a well rounded background in world history is useful, too useful simply revoke it from the education system and focus on current events. Read the newspaper if you want that, what more could you learn in class, really? In high school anyway.

i like history. yeah it's easy, but i think it's also interesting. besides, it'd be kinda hard to have a class on current events. what would the textbook be like if we're learning about stuff that happened last week? haha well i enjoy reading about history as long as we don't have to get to technical and memorize billions of dates.
