it's not pathetic at all.
A while ago, my thoughts about myself weren't too far removed from your current perceptions of yourself. Just try to enjoy life, and don't be negative about yourself. You seem to really want a relationship, and that's fine, but be careful, because they are a special thing, and you shouldn't rush into them.
I guess i'm really lucky though, to be in one, and it was really unexpected, and I'm still not totally sure how it happened, but I'm really glad it did, and I'm really enjoying it.
Just keep doing things as you are, and you'll find someone. I know people who never dated in high school but met people after high school, and they are in very nice relationships. Don't worry so much, everything will be ok.

I sympathize with ya dude. Trust me. that's how I feel (female here).
It sucks yes, but you'll find someone.
You can't expect to find them at a certain time or place.
don't be too picky either but don't rush into a relationship just because it's a relationship.
