Forensies Science

did you do anything in school about it? like how they use DNA to solve mysteries and muderings? i'm doing it right now in Enrichment.

haha we even get to plan the perfect murder about how to kill a frog. after we plan it we have to kill the frog without leaving anything behind like cells such as skin cells and we cant leave footprints or finger prints. haha i heard it from my sis but he didnt tell us if we're really gonna kill the frog yet, but we're doing Forensies anyways.

yeah, part of the ib curriculum for any Higher level science class is that the class must involve at least 10 hours of working with the other sciences (chemistry, physics, biology, etc.). Our school chooses to do a giant lab that lasts all day on a mock crime scene. There's some forensics in there, but our part was mostly criminology i guess you could call it, but of course there are subsets under that.

realli? i find that stuff kinda interesting. i was kinda disappointed last year wen we didn't hav somethin like that during our genetics unit in bio. we were just asked "who was the father of the baby?" and used blood types and punnet squares. that's boring.
well, a couple of weeks ago, a forensics scientist came to talk at our school and answer our questions and stuff. it sounded pretti interesting, and i'm kinda lookin towards that as a career.
