I would rather be free even if white people in the north treated me like dirt. Because the slave master treated the slaves like property. If I was a slave woman I could be the master sex slave and have a child that the master won't recognize and have my child stolen from me and sold to another planation. So treated like dirt and free and having my whole life to determined by my master. I'll take being treated like dirt.

and duh, of course the people who didnt treat the black people fairly were the unjust ones. it's stupid how such a small thing like a friggin SKIN COLOR make people hate
