the difference in pump and ddr is
a)music
b)ddr made in japan? pump made in korea? i could be wrong in that one.. but im pretty sure ddr came first
c)ddr use up down left right keys.. pump uses four diagonals and a center key.. much better

i heard there was another one where theres eight keys.. all direction except a middle one

i can go as far as beethoven virus by banya on difficult.. but i feel retarded when i do that 360 degree shit.. haha

i've been playin ddr for the past year or so...and if you see the knee-drop hand-slap craziness from people...that, my friends, is NOT ddr...hehe :P. if you have seen any recent tournament videos (http://www.ddrfreak.com/videos.php), you guys can see that people are actually DANCING to the music...hehe.

but i'd have to agree with jini...it's only a game

i think the problem with pump is that new mixes dont come out, while konami keeps pumpin out new ddr mixes.....with new interfaces n much harder songs than some of the old stuff

actually...pump it up released their EIGHTH different version called "premiere 2" in the states (it's called "the rebirth" in korea). so theoretically...pump has made more "mixes" than ddr...hehe ^_^. i personally like pump over ddr...more freestyle-able songs...plus i can dance to baby vox - origami ^_^
