an ex friend

I have this friend, let's call her "A" and I'm Liz. See we had a huge fight over something totally dumb. And now she's like really really popular because she hangs out with different people now and is very well known around the school. I guess you could say I'm jealous, but not of her popularity, but i'm more mad that no one knows what she's really like except for me and my old friends who she totally ditched. We both play the flute and she's good at it, she's also really smart, and fun to be around if she likes u. we've been friends for a loong time and i dun think it's fair for her to ditch us so easily. i was just wondering if any of u can help me w/ this problem.

well sometimes friendships are worth pursuing and some are not ...

i think you should make an attempt to contact her outside of school ... and since you've drifted apart i think it's going to be difficult to start up the friendship again .. but if you see that she wants to be friends like you were before ...

then pursue it ...

but if she doesnt seem like she cares ... then you'll see she's not the friend you thought she was ... and move on

maybe your just growing apart?? Thats what happened with me and a couple of my best friends when we got into like middle school. We just went our own way realizing we werent as close as we thought we were....o well....i got new best friends now and im happier!!!

she ditched you but you still want to be friends with her? why bother? go make friends who appreciate you for what you are. so what if she's "popular"? no one's gonna remember these things five years from now, believe me. and you said you know what she's "really" like; do you WANT to be friends with that?

Seriously, everyone doesn't know what she's "really like" except you? That one defining moment that you guys were in a fight is waht she is really like? i don't think so, maybe, but from where i am it doesn't sound like it. Even if she was being mean to you for an extended period of time throughout the fight you guys had, i don't think that you know "what she's really like" and other people don't. I mean, people at their worst moments don't define who they are in my opinion. People grow apart, and if you don't like it then make an effort to get back with her.
