reformatting

yeah, ive decided to degrade my windows xp pro to windows 2000 pro. i dunno, xp just gets annoying... sometimes the taskbar buttons dont work for like 15 seconds, aim tends to screw up a lot, and i cant go above 60 fps in games. and i know its NOT my computer hardware thats screwing it up.. if u check in the computer specs thread...but, when i reformat, do i have to reinstall the mainboard drivers, sound card, videos etc? ....

i dont think u have to instal mb drivers, but everything else you do. as for the 60fps in games...get something called nvdia refresh rate fix. its been a problem with every xp edition. it also has something to do with you monitor's refresh rate. since my computer can only run at 72mhz @ 1024x768, my max fps is 72...thats what im running at now (my moniter is flat panel lcd). if you have a crt moniter...you will be able to get a higher refresh rate. i got a computer running at 99fps.
