um...this shinhwa album's okay, i suppose. i started losing interest in shinhwa's music after the 2nd/3rd because they became too nsync-ish pop-py. a lot of the songs sound alike. there's nothing really spectacular about this album that makes it different than their last. their 4th differed some from their 3rd...but this album is just like their 4th. the title song, "perfect man", is very ex-britneyish pop. i would think that since this is their 5th, presumably last, that they'd make it extra special. out of all the SM 5th albums so far, i think H.O.T. by far did the best. SES's 5th was okay.
it's just sort of puzzling, how SM released this album so fast...so soon after SES's 5th. SES's 5th was delayed by like, two or three months...then they release this shinhwa album on a whim, out of the blue. i would think that they'd release shinhwa a little later, since SES's breaking up soon, so they say...so that they'd give time between the break-ups, if shinhwa's really breaking up now.
damn, SM's gonna have lotsa solos. kangta, moon heejun, bada, shin hyesung, and whoever else... lotsa MALE solos. personally, i think SM should either just keep them as groups or get rid of them. why keep them doing soloist activities, if a lot of these people (ex: moon heejun) don't survive well w/o the rest of the group members? it's a waste of all that effort. the only SM person that really deserved a soloist position is kangta. i don't even know if shin hyesung can make it as big... i think minwoo'll probably go solo, too. -.- SM's losing groups faster than they're producing good groups. they've produced so many off-to-the-side projects (dana, MILK, shinvi), and so little official SM stuff after boa.
word, i like shinhwa alot but they've just gotten so poppy sounding, and it just doesn't seem they have enough er individuality as a group.
personally i cant wait till ftts's come back and boa as well. i think minwoo won't do too good as a solo but hyesung and kangta will do well ^^
