i don't get nervous anymore which comes from loosing so much. Now my motto is "Ahh, screw it..." I say that a lot that i just start wacking the balls really hard to the other person. that actually helps me win by the way. also, say it befo' doing a serve and just wack the crap out of the ball.

yeah, that could work... but my doubles partner is an asshole and my coach won't let us choose our own partners.

my partner

just tap it in

yeah, just like in happy gilmore

just tap it in, give it a little tappy, tap tap tapperoo

that pisses me off.

we have conditioning exercizes for hockey but conditioning for tennis in our school is a joke.

although our school track team has only about 1 fan, he's always cursing "Run mother fucker run!!! come on don't let him pass you. Shit!! run run!!" this sounds like fun, now I want to be a track fan.

thats more than our tennis team has. It sucks, you can't yell while cheering your teamates. and you can't curse. and we're more likely to kill each other than practice

if you play dubs...

hit the net dude in the face off the 2nd serve. Gets em every time. The people playing dubs aren't gonna be good enough to get a working volley off of a return like that (unless, of course, you're playing the number 1 or 2 team in your league)

especially if you have a big forehand.

then start dropping off the second serve when the net dude moves back because he doesn't want another bump on his face. Predictable, but gets them everytime.

i don't get nervous or scared of getting beat, but i know i mess up on the little stuff that can get me the points when i let distractions get to me during the match. that is, when i loose focus on the game by letting my mind wander.
but i've been working on concentrating my attention to just the game and taking it one tennis ball at a time, it's been working great.
