5 Male Fashion Crimes

"The way a man is dressed can play a major role in whether attractive women consider him dating material. So, guys, while wearing white socks or having pants that are too short are obvious fashion no-nos, here are some other things our lady friends find, well, revolting:
1. Cutoff-jeans. Let's face it, long fringes hanging on a man's hairy legs don't make an ideal picture. Not to mention that cut-off jeans, like jean shorts, are out of style.
Solution: Wear khaki, relaxed cotton or trendy synthetic shorts.
2. Socks with sandals. "Ew. What's the point of wearing sandals if you wear socks with them?" wonders one of our female correspondents.
Solution: The typical socks and sandal look is usually seen only on college campuses — probably the only place where it's acceptable. You might be able to get away with Teva sandals and socks on a hike. So except for all you frat boys and hikers, repeat after me: Lose the socks when wearing sandals.
3. Biking shorts. Let's face it, unless you're on a bicycle side-by-side with Lance Armstrong, there is no reason to wear biking shorts. These shorts are designed to offer cyclists support and aerodynamic speed, which means they aren't made for the gym, for going to the beach or cruising around the neighborhood.
Solution: Leave the Lycra in your closet unless you're going biking.
4. Revealing tank tops. Spaghetti-strap tank tops not only show your nipples and armpits, but also resemble a cheap piece of cloth hanging on two strings. Lose them!
Solution: Regular tank tops (exposing only shoulders and arms) can be extremely stylish when worn properly. Opt for a less revealing top.
5. Skimpy bathing suits. Most women prefer not to see men running around in what looks like the bottom half of a bikini. So unless you're a competitive swimmer at the Olympics, you're turning women off.
Solution: Replace clingy, skimpy suits with nice shorts. "
