Ok ok, well i'll just give it to you as an example, cuz i'm not good with words. You know how there's differen't types of Techno right? Well, Trip Hop is to Hip Hop as Trance is to Techno. And i don't mean trance as in like the club/dance/singing type, i'm talkin bout real trance. I wonder if that makes sense? Well Dj Shadow is highly respected in the Trip-Hop world, dude is dope.
