Need help choosing out snowboard bindings

I need help choosing a decent pair of bindings. The new Ride Flights look nice. I also had a pair of Drakes in mind but the top-of the line Drakes tend to be very expensive. Could someone give me some information about choosing a pair?

they're all the same man. the only main differences that i noticed were strap comfort and highback quality and height.

get the bindings with the nice straps with extra cushion. this eleviates that annoying pain on your foot when you strap on too tight. drakes have alright straps but my friends nidecker straps are so much more comfier. but then again... you can buy comfy straps seperately

highbacks are a bitch. too high? digs into your calves. too low? no support on the heelside. too stiff? squirrely. too soft? can't turn! but the last two are really preference. anywayz... quality is also important. cheap highbacks tend to break easier in really cold temperatures. my highback is perfect. not tooo high or low.. kinda stiff.. it has an easy adjuster.. and the quality is excellent. thanks earl!

all that other stuff like the toe ramp and base cover (dunno what its called by i have it on my drakes) doesn't really make too much of a difference in my opinion. the last thing you might want to consider is whether you go plastic or metal. i really don't know the difference between the two really except for maybe flex. it's up to you.

but if i had to pick one high quality piece of equipment between the 3 B's (boards, boots, bindings) i would definitely definitely definitely pick a high quality, comfortable, easy strapping, warm, dry boot. it's all in the comfort. blah dont listen to me i havent rode in a long time.
