i learned that music in movies are only there to enhance or help the scene or the certain situation.. not too overbearing where you notice the music and not the movie itself

on that note my favorite soundtracks from original composers are

schindlers list theme-itzhak perlman violinist for the theme
american beauty theme-thomas newman
shawshank redemption theme-thomas newman(this guy is a pure genius and cousin to randy newman)
forrest gump-alan silvestri (did everything from this movie to predator)

i liked the soundtrack for o brother, where art thou, hardball, and barbershop. i dun remember wut the "classic" movie ones sound like, but i think gone with the wind and legends of the fall wuz nice

I actually doubt you ever saw this movie, it was named STRANGELAND and was written by dee snider (ex-vocalist of the group "twisted sister")

it's in fact my favorite movie

the soundtrack is great!!!
