yes its possible, there is an option that lets you block specific users from giving you props and comments.

if they say no, they are a liar if they really do hate you. It is not that everyone will lie, or if they do not it is not because they want to pick a fight. It is because they are being honest. If someone asked me that, and i hated them, i would tell them - and that is not because i want to pick a fight. It is because it is lame to lie just to save face/"not pick a fight."
