not everybody uses mirc. or kno how to use mirc. and for me personally....mirc, icq, aim and dat kinda stuff was cool when i was in 8th grade....like....8-9 years ago....i dont really enjoy being "online."

that's why that announcement went out about the new jsl chatroom that utilizes javascript to run a IRC client integrated into the browser... so that the people who don't use mIRC, pIRCh, Chatzilla, <insert client here> can enjoy IRC without downloading a client. i actually use mIRC for file sharing rather than actual chatting. i choose IRC over AIM because IRC is more customizable with scripts and stuff. i was planning on using a trivia script to make a contest, which was cancelled due to a lack of interest. but if anyone wants to participate, i'll gladly start the registration again.

i dont use aim much, only when i see marvin online then i remember ooo yea i got that. i use msn messenger cos i like the new version with all the pics!

personally i do not have a problem with irc. i do agree that it is very easy to use. however since the majority of ppl on this forum do use aim i go with the simplest solution. use wat the people are using.
