i have a little problem. i can't talk to girls that im attracted or have feelings for. i can talk to any other girl fine. i just can't be myself when im around sumone special. anyone else have this? how do i get over it? it becomes more of a problem because my frends end up liking me, but i guess the me that i am when i can't be myself is not very likeable. ah!

the way i got over "the fear of girls" was really through college. i learned the art of small talk.... from there you can decide to go to deeper conversations... or not.. so my small talk usually starts with

"ey wsup, how's school"
or
"ey wsup, how's church"
or
"ey wsup, how's da family"
or
"ey wsup, how's work"
or
"ey wsup, how's about a kiss"
or..
ok forget that one
"ey wsup, how about them yankees"

then you just listen and listen and then hopefully she'll be like
"so what about you?"

then you better come up with some interesting to say .. or at least something cute like..
"my hamster died.."

then she'll be like
"awww"
or
"sucks for you dawg"
or
"did you eat it?"

then you gotta reply with something witty like
"yeah... wanna come to his funeral?"

then she'll be like
"hahaha your so funny"
or
"your fucken weird ya crackhead"
or
"can i eat it?"

Awwww. Reading about this type of situation is always so cute to me.

Do you feel butterflies and get sweaty palms when you're around the person you like?

It's okay, it's a normal feeling. ^-^

What you need to do next time is remind yourself to stay calm. Just tell yourself to be the real you, and you'll be fine.

However, a little effort into making small cute talks could make a big difference. It's okay to act cute in front of the girl you like, just don't over do it. ;)

I don't know how to make conversation much at all. I never know what to say. I'd be terrible trying to get girls. I don't even know appropiate places to try to find one and what to say. Im quite a loser too. I don't drive at 19, never had a job, im very dumb. Theres got to be no girls out there that would want me.

lmao... sang cheon is hella funny.

I suppose the only reason people are afraid to speak to someone they are attracted to is because of rejection (well duh right?). The only advice is "stop thinking so hard". All people are the same. Even if the girl doesn't like you back, or even if she does... she might still feel that there's some sort of judgement involved. Therefore both of you are nervous. That's no fun.

So......stop thinking so hard. Forget about being judged for once... no one pays that close attention to other people anyway. Remember, when you're busy thinking about how the girl will judge you... the girl is probably busy thinking about how you will judge her. We're all so self-centered. haha
