hmm. i noticed that this sites ranked number one when you search on google for "han-ryu", but isnt even listed when searching for the more popular term "kpop"..

so forgive what i am about to do now. please note that it does not necessarily convey my thoughts, so no bashing please. im doing this to improve our rankings the next time the google spiders crawl on our site. maybe you guys can help me too! if you decide to, please do not type in the same word (kpop) or sentence (kpop is cool!) over and over again. this will only have a negative effect in our rankings.

oh google generates it's own set of keywords for each site? i thought that you have to tag on the meta names and include the phrase kpop or something and google only pays attention to that. That's interesting.

search engines dont rely on meta tags anymore. its not accurate and can very easily be faked. for example, a site that has nothing to do with software can include keywords that suggest that it does, in an attempt to generate more visitors.

nowadays, search engines run 'spiders' that crawl and index all the links they come across to. there are specific algorithms (ei pagerank) how seach engines determine the revelency of a site from each keyword, but much of it is determined by the number of occurances of the keyword in the site. so in general, the more the keyword appears, the better chances the site has in attaining higher rankings in the results.
