i've faced it all my life, and being mixed -- i received it from both ends. but anyway, the length of time you were subjected to it doesnt make what you did mature -- no offense.

I understand, but you gotta understand, sometimes i dont feel like a korean. My korean is bad, i can speak it....i dont have alot of korean friends....i don't go to korean church and most koreans hate me in charlotte cus i dress cheap...i wear khakis and nice shirts..

Anyway, i did enough of walking away and ignoring the problem..its time to stand up for myself and let the world know that we asians are not going to be tossed around like rag dolls.

I've been facing racism from 3nd to 6th class, but not in Secondary, cus I suppose they're more intelligent and mature and the fact that most of them know me...

I lived in the bronx and didn't face much racism, I wonder how I'd be like if I lived there up until now.

Until 6th grade I'd only recieved one racist comment.

The two adult women asked my mother if this was America, they were like.. Is this America? Are you sure this is the US? Because if it is, speak English.
My mother and her friend just laughed as so did I. They spoke Filipino amongst themselves.. what harm was there in that? It's funny to see there are people in the world that still think like that, so

What defines an American? What was the US before it became a world superpower? It was a bunch of colonies being pumped for resources. Most of the immigrants were from various countries in Europe or Africa.

So to be an American do you have to be a "Native American"? (I'm not sure if Engish was thier main language) or do you have to be a decendant of one of the settelers that came to the colonies and beat the shit out of Natives and claimed the land. (Or a decendent of people who came to the new world and assimilated Native Americans) These people I think also spoke other lauguages along with english.

Sheesh, i heard that quote alot. Thats probably one reason why some asians don't make a big scene. Me, i say, go ahead and stand up for yourself. Tell others that asians are not quiet, shy, people.

Hell yeah, that statement would in theory draw the same results as saying "Suck it down" or "Take that shit"
