I rented "Malena" not knowing what it was. from reading the text in the back of the cover in blockbuster it just describes the movie as exotic and comedic. and its italian. so i figure why not.. . if it was nominated for 2 academy awards.. it cant be that bad.

so the movie is set during world war 2 and is about a woman named Malena which whom the whole town is obsessed with including the narrator and his teenaged friends. it has lots of italian humor in it kind of like LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL so i was chuckling and an ironic twist kinda like LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
the acdtress who plays malena is gorgeous. damnit she is! i dont wanna give too much away.. but if you wanna know more.. lemme know

After viewing the movie i have a new appreciation for foreign movies. this is one movie i would highly recommend if you love cinematography and exotic locations such as sicily , italy.. its a awesome story plus a miramax production! they always have great movies.. for all you movie buffs.. you have to watch this.. for all you action blockbuster fans.. forget this one. d=D

oooh sounds good!! this reminds me of a french film, "Amelie." it was a comedy and really funnie!! great cinematography as well. i'm definitely gonna rent "Malena" the next time i go to blockbuster!! i really like foreign films (not just asian) as well!! if u know of any other good ones, please let me know!!
