Abortion

Would you consider abortion in the following situations?

1. There's a preacher and wife who are very, very, poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she's pregnant with her 15th. They're living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty, and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?

2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. They have 4 children. 1st is blind, 2nd is dead, 3rd is deaf, 4th has TB. She finds she's pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?

3. A white man raped a 13 year old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She's not married. Her fiance is not the father of the baby, and he's very upset. Would you consider recommending abortion?

In the second case, you have killed Beethoven.

In the third case, you have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.

If you said yes to the fourth case, you have just declared the murder of Jesus Christ!

I'll say no to abortion except #3. All are preventable except #3....rape.

#1 and 2....parents were just stupid having unprotected sex when they knew they couldn't handle another child. About excessive world population.....most westernized countries are not the problem.....we are roughly equal in deaths and births....or slowly getting there...but we do tend to live to our 80s-90s now. Most of the population of the world is in 3rd world countries......they have like 10 kids/family.....but we are kinda the cause of this.....us consumers.

About killing all those famous ppl.....bull! Do you think they had birth control back then? That was just a way to propagate that abortion is bad. Abortion is a today issue.

I'm not saying abortion is good.....I just really hate it when ppl say it is bad. I don't think it should be used as birth control...only in rape situations. Pro-choice!

No, I think abortion is wrong,

#1: Well considering the situation, I'd say no, I'm sure they can get the dole.

#2: They're stupid, they know they got some diseases and it could pass on to their children, but I'd say no.

#3: No, why should you deny the child's right to life for the crime the father did?

#4: Em... No, full stop.

Don't preach your shit here. This belongs in one of the Intellectuals forums.

It was not possible to abort them anyway, the technology would not have been advanced enough to carry out the operation, the mothers themselves were oftentimes killed, which usually deterred most from actually aborting the child. The only ones with the money and the motives for actually aborting would be the nobles or the high upper class.
It is ridiculous to bring this up because it would have never happened.
