juss wanted 2 tell u peeps dat rite now on tha korean news, they're talkin bout war with north.

there was this gun fight near my area and i dink it was bewtween a north and south guy, i'm not sure but they showed maps and stuff on the news so it's not confirmed yet whether or not 'war' is going to begin but it's definatley gona b another big issue 'after' the world cup is over here in korea.

even if we go into war with the North Korea and South Korea, it is obvious that South Korea would win. South Korea has the allies that North Korea doesn't have, such as the U.S, the world power.

the gunfight wasn't a ground troop thing, it was between a few boats in the sea. borders are tricky in the water. i saw on then news that some NK patrol boats and fishing boats crossed the border. the SK boats ordered them to turn back, but the NK refused and shot at them. err, 1 boat on each side was destroyed.

there wont be a war though. this gunfight was probably between radical extremists that DONT show the opinion of a whole nation.

north and south korea have never offically ended being at war. here is an article that was published last night about the conflict that happened:

SEOUL, South Korea (June 29) - Four South Korean navy personnel were killed and 18 wounded in an exchange of fire with North Korean navy ships near their western sea border on Saturday, the South Korean defense ministry said in a statement.

Two North Korean patrol ships briefly crossed the disputed maritime border -- the so-called Northern Limit Line -- 25 miles west of Yeonpyongdo, an island off the west coast of the Korean peninsula, a defense ministry spokesman said.

One of the North Korean vessels was engulfed in fire, the ministry statement said.
