entering heighway-> semi trucks in both lanes-> NOT GOOD

ok, at about 10:15 PM, on my way back home from a semi-fun night of volleyball, I was entering the heighway, speeding up to about 50 MPH, going 65. My signal light is on, and when I look to my left, a trailer truck isn't budging to let me in. I think, "WTF? Let me in biatch." But still, no let in... So I begin to gradually slow down to let it go.

As I gradually slow down to about 30 MPH, I begin to slowly turn my wheel, but NOOO, there's a huge semi truck behind the trailer truck too... apparently, I didn't see the semi because the trailer truck was blocking my view. So, I step on my brakes, leave skid marks, and come to a complete stop. I've fricken scared, yet, cool.

I'm sitting there and my sister is scared too because she's sitting in the passenger seat and watching as the whole thing happens. I do a big skid btw. Really scary. So I'm sitting there, waiting for the semi to pass me.

Lastly, as I speed up on the heighway again, I wonder why they didn't get into the other lane so I could get on the heighway. As I look at the left lane, there was another huge semi truck there... and that's why the trailer truck didn't pardon me. I was pissed, yet, cool. Hey, he couldn't do anything about it.

But dude, if I didn't look to my left and stop, I woulda been stuck in my car still now. Scary thought.

speed up faster duh. flow of traffic, ever heard of such a thing? The huge trailer isn't going to fuckin slow down. You have to SPEED your little jalopy up. damn someone is a new driver.

i've been in that situation before.... well you can't really do anything if your car don't have good acceleration... all you gotta do is jus' stop and let those bastards go first.

If I were in that situation, I would've sped up to about 75-80 like crazydebater and pass the truck

but I'm glad you made it through without a collision

You just turned 16 today, right? Do you drive? Or does your mommy drive you around? Sometimes those quick decisions you got to make on the road are hairy....

Where I live the freeways are full of trucks, stupid construction zones and idiots, I get in close calls alot. Sometimes, I just hate having to drive, but the freedom that comes with driving makes it worthwhile...

he was on my tail. no matter how much faster I accelerate, I won't be able to pass him, knowing he's already going 70 or more, and I'm just entering the highway. besides, it's not my fault, the vehicle is supposed to move over into the faster lane when a car is entering. but in this case, the trailer couldn't, as we all know.

I can't accelerate any faster when I'm already accelerating. it takes a couple seconds ya know, and a couple seconds isn't enough when the truck is right behind your tail.

Oh yeah I thought so as well, nobody ever changed lanes just to let me enter the highway and I've never relied on people doing it.

When I enter I usually slow down or stop and look (I don't know, it just seems to make more sense then speeding up and entering without looking).
