Style Secrets: The Most Flattering Skirt

The cut of skirt that makes most bods look best is A-line, says Jose Parron, who does style consulting as director of the Image Studio at Barneys New York. Other features to look for in a figure-friendly skirt:
~A wide-yoke waistband hugs the slimmer area above the butt, then poufs out right where you need it to.
~Wide box pleats only on the front of a skirt give it movement -- so it doesn't cling -- without adding bulk.
~Vertical pinstripes visually elongate and slim your physique.
