Well, as you all know, last tuesday was election day. Well, prior to this, Patsy Mink, one of the cadiates what was supposed to run in the election, died after contracting a serious illness. For some reason, her name was left on the ballet. Knowing that she was dead, the people of hawaii still voted for her and amazingly enough she won!! A dead woman won the election I just found this odd. I feel even worse for the guy who lost :sad:

well, no.
I read the news, and most people voted for her, aware that she was dead, because they wanted to give out the message that her platform was the one they really wanted as opposed to the others. They weren't ignorant, they just wanted to show they believed in the issues she supported, and hoped that the other candidates would take note and incorporate those stances into their campaign.
