I find the korean trend (perhaps it is not unique to korea) of having young girls featured in a more professional environment disturbing. Maybe it is a reflexive thought trained into my head from seeing those annoying GAP commercials wherein the kids model in environment that is stereotypically adolescent. But then again, that seems like the better alternative if one keeps in mind that professional modeling involves a lot of skin and risque material. I'm not talking just swimsuits and the like, I'm referring to the poses that serve to highlight certain body parts and the overall physique of the model. Now, why the hell would a child be in that kind of pose if she has none of those qualities to accentuate?
hmm you have a good point there. i think its because youthfulness has a certain appeal in todays highflying society, regardless of the lack of physique. you know, the innocence, the youth.
