my korean friend recommended me to get my hair done at this korean hair salon. i wanted to get my hair cut and styled like the one i saw in a japanese magazine so i thought i'd go to an asian hair salon (cuz maybe they recognize the style better than others). well my bf drove me to east hartford (like 20 mins away from my house) and i found out dat they dun speak english!!!! well they do, but VERY LITTLE. i should have just went home but i dunno why i didnt. so i showed the lady the picture of how i want my hair to be. she said she'll "copy the book" meaning she'll do exactly like the pic. well turns out she is the WORST hairstylist/cutter EVER! she tied my LONG LONG hair into a ponytail and just cut off like 3 inches!!!!!! WHO THE HELL DOES DAT?! wat professional hairstylist cut hair like dat? DAT IS SOOOOOO FOBBY & GHETTO! i told her i didnt want my hair too short. i said to her face VERY CLEARLY "NOT TOO SHORT." and she cut it above shoulder-length which is wayyyy too short becuz my hair is like... past my boobs.. but newayz, she kept snipping my hair and i sat there like DYING...... she charged me $20 and i didnt tip her. the moment i stepped out the door, i burst into tears. and i cried allllllll the way home in the car. not only was i crying, i was weeping. no, i was WAILING. and my bf was trying to comfort me saying i still look beautiful and it looked nice and he liked it. (poor him... had to sit thru me crying all the way home hehehe )
my lesson learned: NEVER go to a hair salon wit people dat dun speak ENGLISH!!! and dun get ur hair done by an immigrant who probably does not have a LICENSE or CERTIFICATE from a beauty school!!!

do this:
1. breath in.....breath out
2. say, "hair grows"
3. repeat steps 1 and 2

awww ... its ok. bad hair experiences happen to the best of us ..
one tip i've heard is that .. while they're cutting your hair .. and you dont like it .. dont be afraid to tell them to stop ... or to redirect them to how YOUD like your hair to be styled .. i mean you are paying them .. so you should get what you what ..
and go girl for not tipping them ..

aww hehe i kno how u feel thats happened to me...well not the ppl not speaking english part but i told the lady n ot too short and hse kept cutting and cutting grrr lol it happened to my friend too and she got really upset lol..damn hair cutters need to learn how to cut hair without goin too short!! lolol

awww u poor thing thaz happened to me too - i told the person "not too short" and they were like "ok" and they chopped off like half, until it was up to mai chin -___-
well..this is a good opportunity to get hats and beanies and hair accessories....maybe you can find good ways to make your hairstyle look cute? short hair can look good ^^ good luck!! feel better!

im sorry to hear. if itll make you feel any better, i got a bad haircut just three days ago. i was in the process of growing my hair back long but ended up with less than half an inch after the visit to the barbershop. my regular barber wasnt there, i should of had got my haircut later.
anyway, i wont be making any money from the t-shirt sales (prices will be base prices with no profit margin), but ill be willing to give you a 50 percent discount on a hat if you remind me when the clothes become available for sale.

haha your experience reminds me of singapore....most of the hairdressers are like that. i only go to the expensive ones..cos otherwise they give me a REALLY HORRIBLE 'old aunty' haircut!! jeez you'd think they actually studied hairdressing..
