Re: bass

Fender and Ibinez, can never go wrong with them, both have good sound, great quality. Cables.... it already comes with it but if ur gonna be in a band or do it standing better get a longer cable. Amps, do not get a giutar amp, nor a double, get a base, sounds soooo much better but if u want it's fine with the double and giutar, but bass amps sound so much better for it.

for a bass other then fender and Ibinez... Elvis is pretty good, great to show off, quality is ok sound is ok. 4 string, 5 string.... go with 5 if ur serious about it but if ur not that serious go with four. I have a 4 string (squire) Fender and it still sounds good... :uhappy: haven't played in awhile....

just go to a near buy music stoor, they'll usually have bass amps and cables, doesn't matter where really

i play bass, do not buy a squier (i have one)

reason being when you tune the bass into other dunnings (drop d, c) the strings will never be the same as original. This seems only a problem with squier guitars. But considering your a beginner your stuck with fender, squier
