photoshop question....

for all u photoshop braniacs out there, how do u change the background color so that it looks like there are spotlights comming from the bottom? or is this not possible?....

BTW, how do i put the pic up on the forum?? it doesnt seem to work when i preview it...so how do i save it so that ppl can see it?

when you mean spotlights coming from the bottom... you want a gradient effect? There is a spotlight-like filter, I think

also, if you're going to include a picture, just use the Attach file feature

dont forget, u have to save the file as a jpg or gif first. you cannot display psd files in attachments.



#!: pretty much anything is possible in photoshop, so dont ask

#2 go to: Filter>Render>Lighting Effects. ull get ur spotlight type stuff. u can change direction and area of light by clicking on the oval on the left. u can also change the color of the light by clicking the top white box on the right.

u can also add new lights by dragging the lightbulb on the left onto the preview screen. delete lights by dragging their center to the trash

u should play around with the settings a bit to get the type of background u want.

oh and if u want some preset lighting effects go to style

thanx..but how do u save as a gif? photoshop only allows me to save in either PSD or PDD files...help?

no it doesnt

go to save as and save your file as filename.gif
and go to the pulldown box underneath and select GIF
