new game boy advance

Nintendo announced they will release a new model of GameBoy Advance called GameBoy Advance SP in Japan on February 14 for 12,500 yen, simultaneously with the release of Square's Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. The GameBoy Advance SP is foldable like a portable DVD player, and it comes with built-in backlit and rechargeable lithium battery. The battery can be used for 10 hours continuously (or 18 hours with backlit turned off), and recharge in 3 hours. The dimension of the system is 84.6mm (L) x 82mm (W) x 24.3 mm (Thickness), and weight in 143g. The size of the LCD display is the same as the regular GBA. A headphone converter plug is also available for 500 yen, which allows you to connect another stereo headphone to the system. GameBoy Advance SP will be available in platinum silver, azurite blue and onyx black colors. A US version of GameBoy Advance SP will be released on March 23, for US$99.

ahh this looks cool, I want to get final fantasy tactics.. I haven't been playing my gba that much in a while though... ever since i bought street fighter 2 turbo for it, I haven't gotten a single game, I was looking forward to sfa 3 but i never got it and it never seemed to come out, there are some cool games but I haven't felt compelled to buy them yet. Maybe i'll sell mine soon and buy this one when it comes out.

wow, i really like that idea. folds out so you don't have to look directly down to play, and more importantly, illuminated pixel lighting i assume? Sweet, and FF tactics on it! THat is making it sound so appealing haha

heh heh this looks cool, i like it better then the regular advanced, i really like the fold up idea, easy storage and FF tactics on it? that'll be hot ^_^

He bought the orginal gba... now this comes out....

yeah, and sony, nintendo, and microsoft all plan to release smaller, updated (not performance-wise) versions of the systems they are currently selling (ps2, gamecube, and xbox, respectively) sometime this year, and these will all be sold at lower prices.

yup yup that thing looks really nice..hmm..i still have my ghetto gameboy thats gray and really big lol..though i dunno if the things worth getting..hm...

im not really all that into gameboys, so i wouldnt waste money on a better one

so this thing runs on mini cds right? thats tight. thank god i didnt buy a gba before i would be so pissed when i saw this come out. gonna save my money for this. they should make a handheld playstation like the gba. like it runs cds and everything and have the same quality as a normal home ps. thatll be tight.
