i have a ti4200, what does this do?

i heard it is best not to update your bios for your graphics card. it could shut it down and it'll be like a dead card. and there is no need for it to be updated.

Generally you don't want to upgrade it, because as AznTiger says, if the BIOS upgrade corrupts, you've in trouble. That is, unless you have a pci video card that'll let you see the dos prompt again and let you restore a functional BIOS block to the agp card.

But I know there are you leet upgrade fanatics who like to updates your BIOSes!
