매번 앨범을 준비하면�_ 느끼는 거지만 국내에�_의 힙합음악....
참으로 어려운 장르란 생각이 듭니다.
음악을 접하는 모든이가 평론가 이자 비평가 이기 때문이죠
가끔 이런 생각을 해보곤 합니다.
“인생은 짧고 예술은 길다” 라는 말처럼
음악 이란 ? 애당초 정답이 없는 질문지 와 같다는 생각 말이죠.
힙합 음악 역시 마찬가지입니다.
저역시 아직까지도 무엇이 진짜 힙합이고 소위 남들이 말하는 정통 힙합이 무엇인지?... 쉽게 정의 내릴수 없기에 ...그저 “내가 좋아하는 음악 이니까 맘껏 즐기자 ” 라는 마음 하나로 지금까지 YG를 이끌어왔는지도 모르겠습니다.
음악을 연구하고 분석하는데 시간을 소비하기 보다 그저 음악을 즐기고 몸으로 느끼고 싶었으니까요.
제가 굳이 저의 힙합사랑을 구구절절이 말씀 드리는 이유는
나이가 들면 들어갈수록 ... 섣불리 남의 음악을 평가한다는 것 ..
참으로 위험한 발상이라는 생각을 해보았기 때문입니다.
이것은 평론가들 역시 예외일수 없습니다..
음악이 쉽건 어렵건 간에...... 작품성이 있건 없건 간에 그 음악을
평가하는 것은 결국 대중들의 몫이기 때문 입니다.
정답이 없는 답안지에 자신이 써놓은 답만이 정답이라고 생각하시는
분들 그것도 모자라 상대를 욕하고 비�_을 일삼는 분들...
아마도 그 사람들의 특징은 더많은 사람들이 자신을 향해 손가락질
하고 있다는 사실을 모르고 있는 것 같습니다.....
그분들께는 참으로 죄송한 말씀이지만 저는 자신있게 말씀드리겠습니다.
현재 YG의 모든 식구들은 힙합음악의 테두리안에�_ 우리가 진심으로
좋아하는 음악을 즐겁게 즐기며 살아가고 있다는 점말입니다.
“YG가 돈을 벌기 위해 힙합 음악을 한다” 라고 저에게 말하신다면
저는 거꾸로 “돈을 벌고 싶다면 절대 힙합음악 만은 하지 말어라” 라는
말로 그 대답을 대신 하겠습니다.
5000만의 인구 중에 국내 힙합 메니아들의 수는 대략 5만으로 추정합니다...
그러니까 아직 1/1000 수준에 불과하다는 것이 제작자 양현석 으로�_의 평가 입니다....
쏟아지는 힙합에 대한 섣부른 평가들과 비�_들은 더 많은 사람들의 생각과 마음을 닫게 만드는 요인이 되고 있으며 힙합에 대한 작은 관심마저도 떨어지게 만드는 현실로 이어지고 있습니다.
상대에게 “힙합은 아무나 하는 음악이 아니야” 라고 말하는 것은 곧 “힙합은 아무나 들을수 없는 음악이야... 아무나 좋아할수 있는 음악이 아니야“ 라고 말하는 것과 무엇이 다르다고 생각하십니까 ?
흔히들 “힙합은 소수의 메니아를 위한 음악이다” 라고 말할수도 있겠으나 저는 더 넓은 의미로 “대중을 메니아로 만들 수 있는 음악이다” 라는 말로 표현하고 싶습니다.. 그 이유는 메니아는 대중이 되기 어렵겠지만 대중은 언제라도 메니아가 될 수 있는 가능성 이 많은 집단이기 때문입니다. ...
자신만이 특별하다는 생각 .... 자신들이 아는 상식이 전부 라는 생각... 남들이 자신보다 음악을 모르고 있다는 생각.. 이는 곧 메니아 와 대중 ...모두를 동시에 무시하는 행동이 라고 생각합니다. ... 그래�_ 안타깝습니다. YG가 욕을 얻어 먹을까봐 두려운 것이 아니라 .. 그로 인해 점점 멀어지는 힙합메니아 와 대중들을 생각하니 안타깝습니다..
국내 힙합의 현주소 ..... 애써 앨범을 만들고도 이렇다할만한 T.V프로그램 한번 나가보지도 못하고 앨범 활동을 마감하는 대다수의 힙합 뮤지션들의 현실 과 번듯한 무대 공연한번 �_보기도 힘든 국내의 낙후된 클럽문�_와 공연 문�_ .... 이런 국내 힙합 환경속에�_ 뭐가 그리 들 잘났는지 .. 매일같이 정통힙합을 두둔하고 상대방 가사의 라임을 따져대고.. 자신들이 알고있는 몇안되는 해외뮤지션 이름 들먹거리며 “너희가 힙합을 아느냐?:” 라는 질문만을 던지고 있으니 ... 참으로 한숨만 나오는 현실이 아닐수 없습니다...
오히려 내가 힙합을 좋아하는 것 만�_ 내주위 사람들로 하여금 힙합음악을 좋아할수 있게 만들어 주는 일.... 대중을 메니아로 만들어 가는일 ... 바로 이런점들이 현재 국내 힙합 에�_ 절실한 사항이 아닐까요?
국내 대중 가요속에�_ 힙합 장르가 으뜸이 되고자 하는 마음....
아마도 저를 포함한 힙합을 좋아하는 모든이의 바램일 것 입니다.
오늘 저에 얘기로 또 누군가가 저에게 돌을 던질지 모르겠지만 ...
그것은 저에게 그리 중요한 일이 아닙니다..
왜냐하면 욕먹을 두려움 마음 보단 우리에겐 올바른 국내 힙합환경이 더욱더 절실하기 때문 입니다.
악순환 되고있는 이런 국내힙합의 고질적인 문제점들은 결국 언더와 오버 모두에게 피해를 주고 있으며 균형적인 발전을 가져올수 없는 가장 큰 요인으로 작용하고 있습니다. .
많은 분들의 말씀대로 돈 있는 사람들만이 더욱더 유리한 상황이 되어갈수도 있겠지요...
늘 말하고 싶었지만 결국 쉬운 문제가 아니라는 생각을 다시한번 해봅니다..
이런 아쉬움들은 어쩌면 우리가 죽을때 까지 안고 가야할 숙제로 남을 지도 모르겠습니다.
부디 한국 힙합의 균형적인 발전을 기대합니다... ...... 감사합니다..

y is there animosity between dt n yg i the first place?
ok..i went to the yg fam forum and they were pointin out how yg didn't explicitly mention dt..yea they hav the "do u noe hiphop" tagline but that duzn't necessarily mean they're implying dt. there are a lotta american rappers out there doin their own stuff. and if dj shine attacked yg first in knock out kings, wudn't it be reasonable for yg to defend himself? so dt has "true hiphop"...wel yg has "hiphop" in their own way but it's juss different. eeesh...i luv both yg and dt and i think fans of both are just exaggeratin n assumin stuff for propaganda. 
i like dt and yg fam but they're not "real" hip hop
edit- i meant to say that yeah they're reppin what they think what should be done, and streets and shiet... but it's not a big impact like blackstar, j5 , nas nah mean? ahh poop haha cant explain but i like DT ALOT!!!! YG is aight too haha
