Style Secrets: How to Wear Lace

Lace is a big trend this season, but it takes know-how to wear it in a way that looks chic, not cheesy. Follow this advice from Cosmo senior fashion editor Tamara Rappa:

~Dress down a lace top or skirt by pairing it with casual pieces. "Rugged items in denim and corduroy or something simple like a wool scarf are what look right with lace now," says Tamara. "Steer clear of anything vampy."

~If you're wearing lace at night and want to keep it dressy, make sure your jewelry is elegant. "Stick to one or two classic items," says Tamara.

~If your lace top isn't lined, wear a fitted cami -- either in a matching color or flesh-toned -- under it. A visible bra is a no-no.
