the insomniac

something i scribbled out during Pre-calc...

your eyes heavy and drowsy
the energy tapped out lacking
all the time you have is lousy
your mind dull with hours of time lacking
brain burnt out, its hard but you now see
you look like a rag king

its been hours on end
your eyes turn red
the colors around you blend
and every morning your full of dread
lashes of torment you can't defend
and your nightmares truely bred

pain comes with the sun from which you cower
the rainy days are long and dreary
the restless nights take all your power
at night you go mad and teary
no longer able to enjoy the simplicity of a flower
theres no rest for the weary
