i think it raelly depends on the company's service and your area and how much people have it in your area...for example..the cable in my area is really good while the dsl is juss crappy..though like 5 blocks downs..its the complete opposite..

i have cable

i upload at 1mb during 7 pm and he uploads at like 16 k

sometimes it maybe the other way around. but usually cable should be faster since it is much more durable than the dsl connections.

cable!! i hav cable at home.. and at mah mom's office..(real estate) they hav dsl.. i tried dloadin stuph there.. at around 9pm.. itz mad slow.. at sum points jus got as slow as 8kb/sec.. and at mah house around that tym, i get about 80kb/sec.. so yea.. cables better, at least at where i liv..

I've downloaded at 550kbps before =\ that made me happy.

DSL cant even come close to touching that.


and so what if I only upload at 35kbps cap. =\ not like i'm gonna turn my computer into a porn server or something.

My computer is like a one way porn and movie train.

my friend next door has package 4 of dsl, the best you can get.

i got optimum online cable modem .. we compared results downloading a file from the same server...

his download file was going about 100-250 kb/s per sec and mine was going 500-650 kb/s per sec.. hmm ...

cable is two times faster then dsl and dsl is 2 times faster than 56k that means cable is faster than 56k 4 times
