i heard some thug just bust into the studio and shot him in the head... what a tragedy... forreal... he didn't deserve to die... after all of the contributions to rap RUN DMC did... it was the last thing that should have happened in the buisness...

He was only 31 I think too. Run DMC truly made the biggest impact on the hip hop industry. They were the first one to be corporately sponsored. (Adidas) They were the beatles of hip hop. In New York this DJ for a hip hop radio station broke down crying over the air. It truly is sad. Run DMC didn't even get into the "gangster" image. At least 2Pac and Biggie knew what they were getting into.
