crash and burn

..the unimaginable has happened..
my hard drive crashed last night. lemme tell ya..i was in the midst of writing the most important letter of all ...and right as i'm about to click "send"...a black screen popped up and said .."system detected error in hard drive." or something to that matter...
anyhow...i try to restart my pc..and it doesnt want to boot up from the windows screen to the desktop...so i call gateway..and ask them what happened and if they could help me..i went thru 2 different ladies within an hour and 30 minutes...
end result..hard drive crashed and they're sending me a new one. the last lady i had talked to told me to call back tomorrow [today] to make sure my order got placed in..so as of right now..i'm on the phone...on hold waiting for the lady to come back and tell me whats up. apparently the order didnt get placed in..so yea..she's working on that right now. sOo..as far as i'm concerned..i prolly wont have internet access for about a week...at the least. yea.............i'm so disappointed...i had to start all over when i got the new computer...now i hafta go thru all that "shiet" again..sucks ass...and yes...as jusun hyung nim said before........make sure you back up all your stuff...just incase something like this happens to YOU! =T who knoes who will be next. just be prepared >.<

that's happened to me like twice already...so now i make backups of everything -.- thanks for the warning!

yea... always have back-up... that happened to me sooo many times -______-; u have no idea how many times i wanted to kick my computer.

i think its possible to get it recovered. but it costs alot and not many places do it. was the data really important? or, "ehh, whatever" important.

HOLY CRAP same here i got so pissed
except it was faulty NVIDIA BETA drivers..
it took me 2 hours to figure out why my screen was jus tblack on bootup and not go into windows..
windows spontaneously didn't want to be good today
so guess what..the drivers mesesd up..
it made my monitor permanently default to standby mode
so i had to go into safe mode
uninstall the drivers
THEN
go into windows
configure my cd rom to work, remove the drivers from the device manager, than add/remove
about 10 times
then reinstall, get the cd files,
then finally install the updated non beta drivers

all that took 2 hours

MOST people would think thats a virus and NEVER figure it out..
cuz it was just like one..

i built this computer..so i can't get any "technical support" not that it ever helped me any -_-;;
damn SHIT

take care of your love ones, (including your computer...)
do not take even IT fo granted

that happened to me once while i wuz doin a history report. pissed the crap outta me -___-
i shud go make backups now
