fighting games

who here plays them?
I can't get enough of street fighter/ any other capcom fighting game series/ any SNK fighting game....

lately i've been playing Capcom vs. SNK 2, my team is N-ryu-1, ken-1, sagat-2.

I've also been playing MvC 2, but i'm not that good at it, i'm above obstinate.

I like fighting games tomas.

Lets see: I can beat your A team in Capcom Vs. SNK 2 and all the others with my team of Ken-1, Kyo-2, King/Terry-1.

MvC's are good.

Tekken series is good as well though it takes some time to learn. I gotta get tekken 4 when it comes out, if it's not out yet on ps2 (i have not been keeping up to date on this)

matches i've lost to you were just exhibitions. deal.

Tekken is a good game as well, but i suck at it so much. If i had a ps2, i would get it for sure.

N Groove - Iori, Rock, Evil Ryu

i'm pretty sure i didn't play that team though. But ok, if you say so (said in a high voice, inside joke)

volcom - cool team, i like playing as those 3 as well, i'm okay with all 3, but N-Groove is definitely the best.

and Psychosnowman - oh it happened, you won the rest of the matches, but the one's where i played my best team you did lose, i'm such a loser that i'd remember if it happened or not. haha.

haha i agree dean it is irrelevant, but continuing with the mooting:

I still do not recall tomas, but i will trust you. I'm gonna have to whip out my bragging points to compensate and say that i won all the other matches and don't have the game and practice like you do.

Victor - yeah, we have tourney's sometimes. Usually on weekends like friday nights haha (yes, we don't go anywhere a lot...putt putt, peter pipers hmm). People come and just talk and watch sometimes, probably because we say we are going to do something else but don't. Anyway it is fun i admit. I wish capcom and SNK made games for online battle.

but there's a national street fighter scene...
it's central HQ is in Cali, but players from all over the nation will attend national tournaments. plus, there's a recently instated national ranking system for CvS 2 and MvC 2 called APEX.

david- yeah you did win all the other matches, but what's the point if i I don't GET SERIOUS, ne? oh well.. haven't played in a while, and practice on a DC control doesn't do much for one.

another interesting sidenote -
on the JPNS version of capcom games, there are online matching services, but those never came to america.
Also, a korean developer is making a KOF online, it's 3-D, and it looks pretty tight.

I think that Soul Calibur is one of the best ones.

yeah, soul caliber for DC was hella sick. It was a great game, but i didn't really care for it too much, it seemed like it's just a button mashing fest, as for namco games, I liked Tekken for the deeper gameplay.

Even still, Soul Caliber 2 looks really good, but it's too bad it's coming out for GC first.

I don't know very much fighting games. When I was a child I always played Street Fighter II turbo. Now I play Tekken. Some weeks ago I was at a friends home. She has many different fighting games and I tried. But no game was as great as TEKKEN!!!! Hope T4 will come out soon here!!!!

does Shenmue II count?

shenmue II has a fighting engine similar to that of the Virtua Fighter series. Supposedly that game is good, but i don't care for it. Shenmue and Shenmue II were both great games tho.
