i believe it's cause at the 2002 world cup, she showed up and attracted a lot of media attention with the outfit she was wearing. It was a small Korean flag that was tied around her chest like a tube top, and then she had another flag as a skirt or something. I forgot exactly waht it looked like. They have a lot of pics of it at bronx's. So after the WC, i guess it attracted some people at SM and they wanted to make her a singer, but she wasn't that good i guess and one producer fought for her to be able to pursue this career and it worked and now she's going to come out with some album i guess. That might not be right, but i think it is. She's called the WC girl cause that's how she got her recognition.

i think she's pretty... but she looked prettier in the wc pictures.

i agree with cathy... she looks juss like any pretty average girl... think they made too of a big deal of her.
