ryu's terrible in this game, he's better in the CvS's, spidey's alright, cable's top tier though, oh yeah, so is magneto, i use him more than cyclops, i just remembered haha.

and yet,...the same goes for CvS2

When you get good though, it's not like someone can beat you by luck that often.

Mashing can make anyone decent at a fighting game, but MvC2 is notorious for mashers. CvS2 is a much, much more balanced game, and because of the way it's formulated someone who mashes isn't as likely to have success. Because of the unique gameplay of MvC2 makes it so that you can stand a chance by mashing unless you're fighting someone who really knows what they're doing.

With CvS2 it's harder to pull off mashing as an effective strategy. If you're into mashing i'd recommend the soul caliber series haha.

Also, if you are into low kicking constantly, i recommend Ken, or Iori in CvS2. And that works in pretty much every game as well.

still haven't played cvs2..but i can own you ALL in mvc2..mwahaha..it takes alot of skill man..really..and TIMING is sooooo important in that game..call it cheap..but you can get out of anything in that game..unlike the other fighting games..such as freaking *roll canceling* in cvs2..i heard of that..they do that ALL the time..lol..but in mvc2..you can get out of anything..maybe except the ahvbx3..you get caught in that..your screwed..

i always thought street fighter iii had really strong potential to be a really good game. They never seemed to develop it enough, or i'm just not aware of it. I mean, the parry system could be so sweet. Matches could go on for a looong time, it'd all come down to parrying and skill. If people ever got good at it. I'm not that good at it haha, i'm all right at it though. For some reason i can't do it on cvs2 though. SFIII: 3rd impact is a nice game though. From what i've played of it, i haven't played it that much, hm hm.

SF3 was a great game. Problem was it never became that popular in America except for a few hard-core people. Most people preferred the fast-paced gameplay of MvC2 as opposed to SF3. The parry system was tight, and it's cool how it was incorporated into CvS2 as a groove, and I beleive it will be also included in Capcom All-stars, the 3d fighter that capcom is developing. Matches wouldn't be that long since certain moves aren't parryable and if you're good at kara throwing with certain characters you could get devastating reach on certain supers heh. In japan SF3 was really popular and a ton of people are good at it, it's not so here though, conversely, there are a ton of really good MvC2 players here and Americans are better at it than Japanese are. Japanese players are better at the normal SF games, snk games, and also the CvS's, while Americans are better at the normal VS. series games. These aren't random stats or generalizations either, this is what happened when Japan's best players played America's best players.
