The gallery's looking nice, but I just noticed there are 118 Chaerim pictures haha... what's with so many?
I guess that's not too strange, but it's a bit interesting just because there are more pictures in there than in any other section (i think)

Lab #2 Finding the Ratio of Moles of Reactants in a Chemical Reaction
Purpose: To find out the ratio of the reactants and products for chemical reactions.
Introduction: Once upon a time there was a person who knew the formulas for reactants and products of an equation. He was then able to balance an equation with ease. One day he stumbled upon a reaction, for which he did not know the formulas of the products or reactants. "Wow, I must do something" he said. He then resorted to and experiment to determine the ratio.
The Method of continuous variations (hey this sounds familiar) involves several steps to determine the ratio of reactants. By changeing the mole ratio of reactants, the ratio can be determined.
Materials & Equipment:
Na2S2O3
NaClO
KI
Water
Beakers
pipette
graduated cylinder
cup
thermometer
Theory: By using different ratios of reactants, the the amount of reactants consumed, amount of products produced, temperature change, and stoichiometric ratio may be found.
Procedure:
First 5ml, 10ml, 15ml, 35ml, 40ml, and 45ml of every variable was needed to be measured out.
Before the reaction was started, the temperature of all reactants were checked before the reactions to ensure consistentcy.
In the cup, 5ml of NaClO was mixed with 45 ml of Na2S2O3
10ml of NaClO was mixed with 40 ml of Na2S2O3
15ml of NaClO was mixed with 35 ml of Na2S2O3
45ml of NaClO was mixed with 5 ml of Na2S2O3
40ml of NaClO was mixed with 10 ml of Na2S2O3
35ml of NaClO was mixed with 15 ml of Na2S2O3
The previous steps were repeated using KI in place of Na2S2O3
All data was recorded.

oh... so that's her name... she is cute! she really matches her short hair too... I can't really picture her with long hair... she's a real cutie... she was in "all about eve" right? :huh:
