Who's tired of being called Chinese?

I was thinking, whenever someone asks me what I am, its always are you Chinese? Are you related to Bruce Lee? Where from China are you from, does anyone get offended who is non-chinese? I dont anymore.

well i guess it's because China is a huge country with like 2 billion ppl. on time i had to point out the country of Korea on the map for my teacher. Just because I'm asian, doesn't mean I'm chinese. (korean pride!) although, alot of ppl at skoo say that i look like Lucy Liu (because that's the only chinese female they know) but with better eyes. Oh well, at least ppl ask me.

i used to argue with MEXICANS that J.LO was a MEXICAN!! hahaah..

i remember this 1 tym back when I was 9 and visiting friends in Canada. I went to play on a playground across the street by myself and eventually 2 little girls came to the playground as well.
Soon afterwards they were nearing me and making strange noises, I payed no heed, but then they started taunting me, spouting racial slurs and telling me to "get the hell out of here chinese boy"
I told those 2 girls, that first, I'm Indian, not chinese, and that they really ought to shut up, but in much more choice words. Ultimately, i ended up throwing their shoes in the sand and leaving as they continued to say many racial epithets. As i left, i began to wonder, how great it is that these 2 girls, one black, and one white, that they could put aside their differences and their history and join together and hate on Asians.

heh.. nothing against any other peoples, this was just a prime example of racism and ignorance in our day and age...

It doesn't annoy me much that way, it's kinda different for me...
On the first day working, this chinese girl asked me if I can speak / understand Mandarin / Chinese at all and I said no, then she started speaking in Chinese to her friends while glancing at me once in a while -.- ;
I'm not assuming that she's saying bad stuff or anything offensing, but it kinda..... irritates, you know.

but its nuthing too wrong bout that even though i'm not chinese, it just gets boring and annoying after a while

i'm tired of people saying that pakistan and india aren't in asia, but in some "middle east" place that isn't in asia. haha, believe it or not a whole lot of people have said this to me in my school. It's funny, but hmm...

haha, that'd be funny. People would be scared of me then cause i'd be slapping everyone though . It'd be a funny reputation to have. "don't tell snowman he's not from asia, or else he'll hit you!" haha.

people forget that the indian subcontinent is also part of Asia, and that the people there are Asian as well....
stupid ignorant people think Asian connotates East or SE Asian only..

Anyways, what are everyone's thoughts on the term Oriental.. I really don't think it's an appropriate word, because it has many different meanings. In the U.S., most people think of East Asia as the orient, yet in Britain and other countries, people think of South Asia, and what is oriental, what exactly makes something oriental. I go to a supermarket and see oriental sauce, or oriental noodles, or oriental flavor. what the hell.

people around my area really dont care that much so they don't really ask

I am so sick of being called chinese.... I know that other ethinicities can't tell the difference but they just can't assume that I'm chinese and call me chinese... It's like, know the facts first....
