need backup

I need help in comparison between New England colonies and Southern colonies. My schedule was messed up so I've been out of class until now.

I need to know the differences in Economy, Society, Demography, and Politics

this is a quickie, i'll type more later

New England immigrants and families during colonial times tended to be more the 4 person family, the mother daughter, the familial atmosphere. Not only were the health conditions better, but the life span was longer, and thus, the population grew relatively quickly and the northeast was settled in a short matter of time.

The south during colonial times operated more on indentured servitude rather than slaves. Though there were slaves, the masters usually worked beside them (only extremely rich plantations allowed the owner to sit and do nothing..and the percentage of extremely rich people was like 1-2%). The immigrants the the colonies were generally single men, and because of the lack of women in the south, the population did not grow as rapidly.

Hey does anyone know where I can find a primary document dating somewhere between 1600-1740 about the Middle Atlantic Colonies?

Also does anyone know how to cite a website and a book? I forgot all this stuff dammit.
