is it external or internal?

ur gonna need a scsi card if its external. and i think ur gonna need some other type of card if its internal (sorry, dont know them) . u need drivers for the cards, but i dont think u need one for the burner.

get a cd burning program too.

my guess is that it is USB external correct? Just plug it in when you restart. If you are running 98/XP it will open a add new hardware program. select install from cd-rom drive. thats all i can tell you for now, i have an internal

just download nero or something..some cd drives dont need drivers, but some do

for me, i juss stuck my burner into an empty bay, hooked it up inside, installed nero, n i was good to go......but i dont have an external drive, so im not quite sure......my comp (nero, maybe? i forget) juss kinda auto-detected it, so it was easy for me....

drivers = i wouldnt know, but it would be nice to just make sure to update them just in case.

programs = why pay $20? just go d/l nero. it should be free.

you need a scsi controller. they should have them at newegg.com.
