Hmm, anyone taking vocal classes this year??? I am!!! I'm in Concert Choir this year(well, if I change my schedule, which I am). I also auditioned for Show Choir this year and I made it!!! woohoo!!! And believe my, I did really really bad at my audition... I think. I'm just so happy I'm in that... and then, I'm gonna audition to be in Vocal Jazz!!! woohoo! so hopefully I'll make it into that too!

anyone else taking vocal classes?

i'm taking chorus.
there's three classes

beginning chorus (choir--anyone could join)
Intermidiate chorus (jazz chorale--audition for it)
Advanced Chorus (show choir--audion for it - seniors & juniors get first dibs)

I MADE IT TO ADVANCED CHORUS!!!
I AINT EVEN A JUNIOR OR SENIOR!!

I'm taking a choir class, my schedule is filled up with more important IB stuff haha, so i don't have room for more than an 8th hour choir.

We have:

Mixed chorus (lower level)
Concert Choir (intermediate, a huge class, must audition)
Womyn's Ensemble (Advanced level, limtd. #, audition)
Song Leaders (Highest level choir, limtd #, audition)
Men's Ensemble (anyone join, we do advanced and low stuff, it's fun)

I made it in song leaders, but i can't be in it cause of schedule conflicts. I was really pissed off when i made it in and couldn't be in it because of damn IB classes (i had to knock out one of the existing song leader kids to make it in too, and i did but he got his place back cause i can't be in it), but now i don't care that much...but i wish i could be in it! Anyway, i'm taking Men's Ensemble which is after school and really fun haha. So i'm still taking some choir class, hey there's still solo & ensemble and festivals i guess heh.

Oh yeah, i would be taking vocal lessons during summer, but there's no reason now. My choir teacher recommended some guy, and i was going to but there isn't any point now that i can't be in it heh.

aww... that sucks how you can't be in Song Leaders... yeah, my schedule got all messed up too... I was so angry... that's why I have to change my schedule to be in concert choir... buh at least you're in some kind of vocal class...

and congrats chorong!!! mang, the three of us should sing together!!! haha... hey chorong... are you a soprano or alto?

i've alwaize wanted to be in a vocal class...but there wuz never room in mai schedule :sad:

we have 3 kinds of chorus

Oneonta Chorus - first time in choir
San Pascual - second year
Madrigals - advance (third or 4th year) unless your a jr going to senior then second year.

im going to be in San Pascual. i cant wait!
